Jorge Elizondo

Dr. Jorge Elizondo is the President of Heila Technologies, a business unit simplifying the deployment, operation, and optimization of microgrids. Jorge co-founded Heila as a startup in 2015 and the company was acquired by Rehlko in 2021.

Jorge received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT in 2016, where he developed novel microgrid control and optimization strategies, which he later translated into commercial products at Heila. Jorge was active in the energy community receiving twice the MIT Clean Energy Prize top award and serving as a director of the Energy Conference. Before that, Jorge worked on the development of numerous renewable energy projects in Mexico.
